Noah: From Speedy Test-Taker to Strategic Scholar
A Natural Student Facing a New Challenge
When Noah came to RTC, he was excelling in his AP and Honors courses, but the ACT presented his first real academic challenge. With a starting Composite score of 23, he knew he needed to improve to be competitive for his dream schools. However, Noah’s tendency to rush through tests and procrastinate was holding him back.
Slowing Down & Strengthening Study Habits
Noah’s tutor helped him break his workload into manageable chunks and introduced strategies to control his test pacing. Initially, Noah struggled to slow down, but through relaxation techniques and structured timing strategies, he learned how to stay focused and minimize mistakes.
Finding His Motivation
Halfway through his program, Noah visited Villanova University and realized it was his top choice. This inspired him to double down on his efforts, refining his study habits and test strategies. By the end of his program, his hard work paid off.
Achieving His ACT Goals & College Dreams
Noah raised his ACT score to a 28 Composite and a 30 Superscore, making him a competitive applicant for Villanova. He was accepted to multiple universities and is now thriving at St. Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business Honors Program.
Noah’s journey proves that strategic effort and the right guidance can turn any academic challenge into a success story.
