Is your student a high achiever who is looking for an elite level score?
Jack came to us as a very high-achieving student who wanted an elite-level score on the ACT. His baseline Composite score was a 29, and he wanted a 33 to compete for admissions at several top-notch music programs. (29 on ACT is equivalent to 1340 on SAT; 33 to 1460.) We designed a customized test prep program that would enable him to reach that top level score.
Jack was an unusual and exceptional student. When his tutor worked with him, he would lean forward as if to absorb every word she was saying. Unlike most teenagers, she only had to tell him a strategy once and he adopted it. He saw such quick and amazing progress that we were even able to cut hours off his test prep program.
The day scores were released, Jack texted his tutor at 5:30 in the morning. He had not achieved a 33; he had reached a 34! (A 34 on ACT is equivalent to 1500 on SAT.) His score earned him a Pennsylvania state distinction for one of the highest ACT scores statewide.
Jack now attends the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami on a full tuition scholarship. He was also selected for membership in the Foote Fellows Honors Program, which “recognizes the most academically accomplished incoming students in each of the University’s nine undergraduate schools and colleges.” Jack is already taking advantage of amazing opportunities at Miami, and his mom Ellyn reports that he is so happy there. Congratulations on your amazing success, Jack!
